Concerto High School Musicians Scholarship-DUE 11/15/2025

This competition is open to high school musicians (grades 9-12) enrolled during the 2023-2024 academic year. String, piano and harp players are eligible to apply. You will need to submit a recording of yourself playing and fill out and submit the application.

National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP)-National-

DUE 11/24/2025

To be eligible, a student must be:

• A high school senior expecting to receive a high school diploma during the current academic year.
• An active member in good standing of a National Honor Society chapter, meeting all membership requirements and obligations of the local chapter.
• An NHS student account holder, verified by the NHS chapter adviser.
• Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. college or university.

Mensa US Scholarship-1/15/2026

There are two requirements for applicants:

• Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the academic year following the application date.
• Applicants must submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals.

HTPA Scholarship Contest - DUE-3/1/2026

Requirements

Project: (Pick one)

Creative Media Project:

Create a short video, podcast episode, or digital story (2–5 minutes) that explores how empathy can prevent or heal unhealthy relationships. Your submission can be personal, educational, creative, or narrative in style—just make sure it clearly communicates your message and engages the viewer or listener.

Peer Education Toolkit:

Design a resource (e.g., poster series, social media campaign, or classroom activity) that teaches peers about empathy and relationship health.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

This step must be submitted along with your application/project. Each participant is required to submit a brief artist’s statement that meets the following criteria:

·         Minimum length: 250 words

·         Format: Typed, double-spaced

·         Font: Arial, 12 pt

·         Margins: 1-inch on all sides

The artist’s statement should explain the intent, inspiration, and message behind your work.

The Gates scholarship is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for seniors from a low-income household. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.

Defining the Disability Scholarship- closed

The Defining the Disability Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship available to students who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements below, and who can best describe in a 750-1,000 word essay: how can we define disability in the modern world versus its medical definition? While defining what disability means to you, explain how disability has been part of your life, whether it’s affected someone you know or has had a personal effect. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is October 31, 2024.

Eligibility

• The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a vocational program or two to four year post-secondary institution for the Spring 2025 semester.
• Employees of Berkowitz Hanna Malpractice & Injury Lawyers, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition.

According to the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, texting while driving makes drivers 23 times more likely to get into a "safety-critical event." Reno Rodeo Foundation-3/1/2026

• Applicants who are undocumented will be deemed ineligible.
• Applicants must have graduated from a Northern Nevada high school and must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 at the time of application to be considered. Note: the following counties shall not be considered Northern Nevada: Clark County, Esmeralda County, and Lincoln County.
• The Scholarship award will be administered by the educational institution on behalf of the recipient to fund tuition or other educational-related expenses.
• The recipient must enroll as a full-time student and maintain a 3.0 college GPA or equivalent based on the educational institution’s grading system. If a recipient cannot meet the requirements during any school year of the award, the award will be forfeited, and the funds will be returned to the Reno Rodeo Foundation.
• Students must declare a major at an accredited Nevada System of Higher Education Nevada College or University or at an out-of-state accredited College or University if the declared major is not offered in Nevada ;
• Students must be accepted into a Career College, University, or Vocational School licensed by the State of Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education in good standing with accreditation status as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

The Ron & Linda Smith Family Scholarship-4/30/2026

The Ron & Linda Smith Family Scholarship is offered to Northern Nevada residents attending Truckee Meadows Community College, Western Nevada College, or Great Basin College, who are pursuing a degree or certificate program, or who are enrolled in a vocational program at a qualifying vocational school. This is a one-time award of up to $1,000, with the potential to be renewed with reapplication.

The Smith Family Scholarship is designed for a student who:

Established in 2019 the Steingard Family Scholarship will award up to $2,500. Awards have the potential to be renewed with reapplication for up to three additional years.
