Reno Rodeo Foundation-3/1/2026
- Applicants who are undocumented will be deemed ineligible.
- Applicants must have graduated from a Northern Nevada high school and must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 at the time of application to be considered. Note: the following counties shall not be considered Northern Nevada: Clark County, Esmeralda County, and Lincoln County.
- The Scholarship award will be administered by the educational institution on behalf of the recipient to fund tuition or other educational-related expenses.
- The recipient must enroll as a full-time student and maintain a 3.0 college GPA or equivalent based on the educational institution’s grading system. If a recipient cannot meet the requirements during any school year of the award, the award will be forfeited, and the funds will be returned to the Reno Rodeo Foundation.
- Students must declare a major at an accredited Nevada System of Higher Education Nevada College or University or at an out-of-state accredited College or University if the declared major is not offered in Nevada

- Students must be accepted into a Career College, University, or Vocational School licensed by the State of Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education in good standing with accreditation status as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

The Ron & Linda Smith Family Scholarship-4/30/2026
The Ron & Linda Smith Family Scholarship is offered to Northern Nevada residents attending Truckee Meadows Community College, Western Nevada College, or Great Basin College, who are pursuing a degree or certificate program, or who are enrolled in a vocational program at a qualifying vocational school. This is a one-time award of up to $1,000, with the potential to be renewed with reapplication.
The Smith Family Scholarship is designed for a student who:
- is a U.S. Citizen
- is a graduating high school senior or non-traditional student
- has a high school diploma or equivalency
- has a minimum 3.2 unweighted cumulative GPA
- is a resident of Northern Nevada
- is pursuing a degree or certificate from TMCC, WNC, or GBC; or is enrolled in a vocational program
- agrees to maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average and provide a copy of unofficial transcripts at the end of each semester they are receiving a scholarship

The Sergott Family Scholarship aims to propel Nevada’s current and former foster youth and young adults from Washoe County and all other Rural Region counties to a successful higher education experience. Six Scholarship recipients will each receive $1000 to help alleviate the financial burdens associated with pursuing a college degree or vocational certification.

Established in 2019 the Steingard Family Scholarship will award up to $2,500. Awards have the potential to be renewed with reapplication for up to three additional years.
Eligible applicants are graduating high school seniors from Northern Nevada who will be first-generation college students. Applicants must be Nevada residents seeking a certificate, 2-year or 4-year degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, or Truckee Meadows Community College who wish to pursue a business or education degree.

The Battle Born Patriots Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, will award in 2024 two Liberty Grants in the amount of $1,500 each.
